NSW: At Home With the Architect Visits Seaforth

1610 b0

This month's NSW At Home with the Architect, visits a sustainable residence in Seaforth designed by Environa Studio. The 100% off-the-grid self-sufficient suburban home utilised “Project home processes” to keep costs down, yet deliver a one-off architect designed, high finish house.

The architecture of the home is intentionally kept modest to fit with its surroundings and offers an example of how sensitive sustainable design can be realistically incorporated into an urban environment. The residence is representative of a solution that the architect describes as “…the way of the future” - where design increasingly needs to address environmental issues instead of continuing to follow redundant stylistic fashions.
